FAQs

What is herbal medicine?

Herbal medicine has been practiced worldwide throughout history. Whether it’s a calming cup of tea or soothing salve, herbal medicine is at play anytime we interact with a plant’s healing virtues. We practice Traditional Western Herbalism which is a system of herbalism informed by studying reoccurring patterns that are reflected in people, plants, disease states, and health in order to understand harmony and healing from a holistic lens.

What is somatic therapy?

The term Somatic is rooted in the Greek word, “Soma.” It is a term used to distinguish the body from the mind, soul or spirit. Somatic therapy is a modality focused on learning the language of the body and working with this somatic intelligence to guide people towards deeper states of nervous system regulation, trauma resolution, and embodied living. It is quickly becoming one of the most sought out forms of therapy and is gaining a reputation for being effective and empowering.

What kind of conditions can be supported with herbal medicine and/or somatic therapy?
